ISACS Assessment Tool downloaded by 98 organizations in 54 countries

Our ‘ISACS in the World’ map has been updated to show where and by  whom the ISACS Assessment Tool has been downloaded around the world.  As of today, the ISACS-AT has been downloaded by at least 98 organizations operating in 54 Countries.  The ISACS Assessment Tool can be downloaded free of charge from here

ATT Implementation Toolkit by UNODA draws on ISACS for key definitions

The UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) has produced an Implementation Toolkit to assist States in acceding to an implemeting the provisons of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).  

On the important question of definitions—for example of “brokering,” “transit,” “transshipment”—the Toolkit draws on definitions provided in ISACS Module 01.20 (Glossary) and refers users to relevant ISACS modules for further guidance.  

ISACS now used in 77 countries around the world

A new feature on the ISACS website, created by super-intern Iris Karaman, maps where, how and by whom ISACS are being used around the world.  The current count is 77 countries and the trend is upwards.  


Germany, MAG, strengthen stockpile management in Somalia with ISACS, IATG



The Federal Foreign Office is supporting the construction in Somlaia of secure weapons and ammunition depots by the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) .  These depots are designed to prevent dangerous materials from falling into the wrong hands . For this purpose, the training of security forces to guard these depots in the futre will also be funded.

Pacific Small Arms Action Group & Melanesian Spearhead Group introduce ISACS to Pacific States
